Lane Johnson's agent releases statement

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The agent of Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson, Ken Sarnoff, has released a statement in the aftermath of his client's reported 10-game suspension.

1. We are aware that a member of the media has started a rumor that Lane will be suspended for a PED violation.
2. Lane has not been suspended and any report to the contrary is false.
3. Nonetheless, we will not comment on my client’s protected health information.

Though Johnson hasn't been officially suspended yet, he reportedly told Jay Glazer he tested positive for peptide, which is a performance-enhancing drug.

"Just heard from Lane Johnson, says he took an amino acid that was approved but tested positive for peptide," said Glazer on Twitter. "Fighting it as well as company. You're responsible for what goes in your body but he insists it was approved. Waiting on B sample."

In other words, the process is still ongoing. The results of the B sample testing should indicate whether Johnson is suspended or not.
