Doug Pederson was asked about Wentz's progress after the game and confirmed the rookie quarterback has a shot to suit up.
Doug Pederson says Carson Wentz is in a position to possibly play against the Jets. "Still a little bit sore."— Brandon Lee Gowton (@BrandonGowton) August 28, 2016
Wentz missed last week's game and is missing tonight's after suffering a hairline fracture of his ribs in the first preseason game on August 11th. After sitting out last week, Wentz returned to practice in a limited capacity earlier this week. The Eagles had hoped he would recover in time for the final preseason game against the Jets, and with that game five days away, it appears that Wentz will get the green light.
John Clark and Dave Zangaro of Comcast SportsNet has some good video of Wentz throwing in warm ups earlier tonight.
