That was fast. Shortly after reporting Howie Roseman and the Eagles are likely to be active in the trade market, NFL insider Jason La Canfora now has a name of a player being shopped by Philadelphia. According to La Canfora, Eagles defensive tackle Taylor Hart is on the trade block.
It's not surprising to see Hart's name involved in trade rumors. The 2014 fifth round pick was drafted to be a 3-4 defensive end, which is the position he played at Oregon. Hart hasn't been terrible for the Eagles at 4-3 defensive tackle this summer but it appears he could still be on the outs.
One would think the Eagles won't be able to get much in return for Hart. The 25-year-old defensive lineman has recorded 12 tackles in 14 career games played (one start). Then again, the Eagles were able to acquire Dorial Green-Beckham in exchange for Dennis Kelly, so who knows. A realistic return for the Eagles could involve a late round pick or a fringe player.
The Eagles are more than set at starting defensive tackle with All-Pro star Fletcher Cox and rising talent Bennie Logan. Veteran Mike Martin appears to be one of the top backups despite missing the first few preseason games due to injury. Beau Allen appears to be the fourth defensive tackle while undrafted rookies Destiny Vaeao and Aziz Shittu could be fighting for a fifth spot.
