The Philadelphia Eagles stunned everyone on Tuesday morning by acquiring the talented (but troubled) Dorial Green-Beckham in a trade with the Tennessee Titans. Here are some immediate reactions to the deal.
WR Dorial Green Beckham told me the #Eagles "feel like my role could be a starter. I feel good. I'm just ready to get back to playing."

Dorial Green-Beckham told me he's anxious to catch up w/ Jordan Matthews (Vanderbilt) again who he played against while at Missouri. #Eagles

WR Dorial Green-Beckham was drafted by old #Titans leadership. There weren't issues with him in TEN, just wasn't a fit. Eagles think he is

DGB is a supersized receiver who had a ton of issues in college. A talent, no doubt. Was once the No. 1 high school recruit in America.

DGB drafted by old Titans regime. New group looking for more cerebral WRs. So fit was an element, as was WR depth. https://t.co/QoMBefoxRT

The #Eagles have been in the market for a receiver all offseason. They offered Anquan Boldin a nice deal, for instance. Now deal for DGB.

#Eagles coach Doug Pederson has some Andy Reid qualities & this feels like a Reid trade of the past: AJ Jenkins for Jon Baldwin. Fresh start
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 16, 2016
#Titans are upset w/ how Green-Beckham responded to demands. Told to work harder in offseason, came in out of shape. Didn't improve. #Eagles
— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) August 16, 2016
There is a "fit" aspect to #Titans bailing on Green-Beckham. The players who work hard fit the program. They wanted more from him. #Eagles
— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) August 16, 2016
Titans coach Mike Mularkey recently on Green-Beckham: He's "inconsistent still. It's bad day, good day, same thing since the very first day"
— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) August 16, 2016
DGB's 549 yards would have been third on the team last year, and his four TDs would have been second. Let that sink in.

Re: Dorial Green-Beckham... you could do worse than taking chance on a former #1 HS recruit who was hailed as a cross b/w TO + Megatron
— Dan (@dklausner) August 16, 2016
Never a good sign when a team gives up on 2nd rd pick after 1 yr, but this is a quintessential Howie trade. No risk, major potential reward.
— Dan (@dklausner) August 16, 2016
DGB is such a Howie move.

Player for player trade ✔️
Top HS recruit ✔️
Character issues ✔️
Eagles WRs still stink though.
Not super enthusiastic about a guy whose work ethic was questioned during camp, but yay for a new WR, I suppose... https://t.co/lbgUVeGJIQ
— Alexis Chassen (@Lovelybuckeye) August 16, 2016
I want no part of DGB on this team.
— Ben Natan (@TheBenNatan) August 16, 2016
I mean DGB clearly has been awful. But I mean we're giving up nothing for a guy with talent, why not?!
— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) August 16, 2016
Let's see how this plays out. If he's so good why are Titans getting rid of him for a backup OT? https://t.co/PSKpEvdy36
— Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherNFL) August 16, 2016
Eagles loading up on bad players who are hard to root for? Oh yeah baby
— Beanie Hegel (@Hegelbon) August 16, 2016
#Eagles acquiring a younger Rueben Randle to learn how to be Rueben Randle from Rueben Randle.

The back corner of the end zone?

It belongs to Dorial Green-Beckham.
And now he's joining the @Eagles. https://t.co/1kRj9T9ywA
