Here's an update on the Eagles' injury situation following the team's training camp practice on Saturday.

Carson Wentz

[UPDATE] - Welp. The Eagles announced Carson Wentz suffered a hairline fracture in his ribs. Original blurb below.

The rookie quarterback didn't participate in team drills. After practice, Doug Pederson explained Wentz has sore ribs from a hit he took during the first preseason game. Pederson expects Wentz to return to practice on Sunday and then play in the team's game against the Steelers this week. McLeod Bethel-Thompson took the third team reps Wentz usually would have gotten.

Jordan Matthews

Did not practice. Still expected to be out for a few weeks due to a knee injury. Undrafted rookie Paul Turner took first team slot reps with Chris Givens and Nelson Agholor lining up on the outside.

Mychal Kendricks

Did not practice due to a hamstring injury. Earlier this week, Pederson said he expected to have Kendricks back by now.

Mike Martin

Did not practice due to a knee injury.

Jalen Mills

The rookie corner did not practice due to a hamstring injury.

Hunter Sharp

The rookie receiver did not practice due to a hamstring injury.

Jason Peters

Returned to practice in a limited capacity. Pederson said that was the plan all along.

Brandon Brooks

Same thing as Peters. Stefen Wisniewski replaced him at first team right guard.

Malcolm Jenkins

Same thing as Peters.

Wendell Smallwood

Same thing as Peters.

Marcus Johnson

Same thing as Peters.

Josh Huff

Wasn't seen at practice.

Chris Givens

Started practice but went inside early. It was really hot and humid out, so one could speculate he was suffering from cramps.

Ron Brooks

Same thing as Givens.
