Let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Carson Wentz likes to air it out, and Doug Pederson wants to let him - PhillyVoice
In practices so far this offseason, Wentz has shown a Favre-like gunslinger mentality. In fact, in our practice notes yesterday, we noted that Wentz is more willing to gamble than Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel. On Wednesday, Pederson acknowledged that Wentz likes to let it rip. ... Letting it rip is certainly better than watching the quarterback throw short of sticks on third down all game. So let the kid let it rip.
Cox ‘Expecting To Be At Training Camp’ - Birds 24/7
Cox was asked if he will definitely be in attendance for training camp even if a new deal isn’t worked out by then. "I’m expecting to be at training camp, yes."

McLane: Pederson passes calmly through offseason storms - Inquirer
Doug Pederson was never in a position to skip offseason workouts or attempt to force a trade or hold out for a new contract, but it's likely he wanted to at one time or another, and, at the least, shared locker rooms with players that were able to take those stances without repercussions. Would he have preferred for Sam Bradford, Fletcher Cox and Darren Sproles to attend all of his first offseason as Eagles coach? Is Riley Cooper looking for a job outside the fast food industry? But Pederson never said as much publicly, never questioned their desires, and never instigated a showdown even though the Eagles had leverage in each circumstance. If these were his first tests as head coach, Pederson aced them.
Minicamp Begins - Iggles Blitz
Doug Pederson mentioned Pantale as a Fullback the other day. The Eagles don’t need a FB for the base offense. Pederson would like to have someone for that role, but the guy will also need to contribute at another spot. Most importantly, the player will need to be a standout on STs. Pantale won’t get to prove his worth on STs until the preseason games. Until then, he needs to play well at FB and TE. He is 6-5, 254 and would be a huge FB.
Carson Wentz to attend Sam Bradford's passing camp - NJ.com
Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz will be among the several teammates attending Sam Bradford's passing camp in San Diego next month, the No. 2 overall pick said prior to Wednesday's minicamp practice. "Yeah," Wentz said at the NovaCare Complex. "I will be there. I think we'll be there probably a week, is the plan. Just to develop a rapport. We've developed timing not only on the field but doing some routes.
Defensive Line Lining Up For Impact - PE.com
If it is all to work according to the blueprint, and the history of Jim Schwartz says the blueprint works very well, thank you, the Eagles are going to have to dominate the line of scrimmage defensively in 2016 ...
Nolan Carroll, JaCorey Shepherd eager to enter Eagles' CB competition after last year's injuries - CSN Philly
I feel good. I feel ready," said Carroll. "It's one of those things where it's kind of precautionary. [Schwartz] has been easing me back into stuff, he's been doing it since OTAs, but I feel good. "When I'm doing individual drills, I feel great. On special teams, I've been feeling great. I've been trying to sneak in on some team stuff, but they have me limited at OTAs. It's a progression thing. Take my time with it is all I've been trying to do, so I feel fine, I feel good, but I've gotta do what they tell me to do right now."
Darren Sproles not sure why people thought he was unhappy - PFT
Running back Darren Sproles joined the Eagles for this week’s mandatory minicamp after missing earlier team activities this offseason amid reports of trade talk and unhappiness with his contract. When Sproles reported for work earlier this week, he said his absence was only due to "family stuff" and reiterated that on Wednesday, adding that he doesn’t "know where all those rumors came from." Sproles said that coach Doug Pederson was supportive during his absence, something that "speaks big" to the veteran running back.
Ranking all 32 NFL cornerback groups - PFF
Key stat: Rowe allowed a 80.3 passer rating last season when targeted, fifth-best by a rookie CB. The Eagles have plenty of options at cornerback, and though the quarterbacks may steal the headlines, the battle for playing time at cornerback might be the best camp battle in Philadelphia this summer. Can Ron Brooks translate his familiarity with Jim Schwartz’s system into playing time? Can JaCorey Shepherd pick up where he left off when he tore his ACL a year ago and claim the slot role? Outside, the likes of Leodis McKelvin and Jaylen Watkins will put pressure on Nolan Carroll, and in particular, Eric Rowe to earn their starting spots ahead of the regular season.
Chip Kelly Decoded: 49ers' QB Competition Is Over, and Blaine Gabbert Won - B/R
The 49ers' quarterback controversy is over. Blaine Gabbert beat out Colin Kaepernick for the starting job. Largely by default. It's all over but the formalities. And Chip Kelly isn't disappointed. In fact, it has worked out almost as well as he wanted it to.
Roger Goodell calls DeflateGate 'unfortunate,' but says it's not an embarrassment - SB Nation
Goodell says it's unfortunate DeflateGate has had an impact on the game, but doesn't consider it an embarrassment for the NFL.
