Eagles running back Darren Sproles is "slated to show up" for Philadelphia's mandatory minicamp this week, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Sproles, who turns 33 in two weeks, has skipped all of the Eagles' voluntary workouts so far. There were reports from earlier this offseason that stated the Eagles received trade offers for Sproles during the 2016 NFL Draft. Head coach Doug Pederson quickly shut down Sproles trade rumors by saying the Eagles have no interest in trading their veteran running back. Pederson theorized that Sproles' absence had to do with him wanting to spend time with his family.
The return of Sproles is good news for the Eagles. He's one of the best punt returners in the league. He's also one of the team's best skill players on a team not exactly blessed with offensive talent.
As for Cox, he was reportedly spotted on a plane headed to Philadelphia on Sunday evening.
