Sam Bradford has returned to the Philadelphia Eagles two weeks after demanding a trade and skipping workouts. The veteran quarterback officially arrived to the team's headquarters at the NovaCare Complex on Monday morning. Upon his return, Bradford released the following statement, via NFL insider Adam Schefter.
"I'm excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season: I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less."
There's no question Bradford and his agent, Tom Condon, are trying to do damage control and save face now that it's clear Bradford returning to the Eagles was the best option for their side. It's just a little hard to believe Bradford is genuinely "excited" about being back just a few weeks after trying to force his way out of Philadelphia because he felt like he's a "place-holder."
Bradford currently isn't scheduled to be available to media until the Eagles' OTAs begin next Tuesday on May 17.
