BGN Mock Draft 2016: Best and Worst Picks in the Top 10

A look at the first 10 picks of the 2016 BGN community mock draft.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The first 10 picks of the 2016 BGN Community Mock Draft have been revealed. Let's take a look at some of the best and worst picks so far as judged by the approval polls.

Best pick: Laremy Tunsil at No. 1 to the Titans

Worst pick: Jared Goff at No. 3 to the Chargers

An entire recap of the first ten picks below.

1) Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss - [Pick]

GM: ablesser88
Approval: 91.2%

Assuming the Titans stay at No. 1, Tunsil could easily be the pick. The Titans got their franchise quarterback last year by drafting former Eagles savior Marcus Mariota. Now they need to get a guy who can help block for Mariota. Maybe Tunsil can even open some running lanes big enough for DeMarco Murray to slowly waltz through.

2) Cleveland Browns: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota Sate - [Pick]

GM: EaglesGenius
Approval: 77%

The Browns have needed a quarterback since forever. It wouldn't be surprising to see Hue Jackson want to get "his" guy at No. 2 despite the fact Cleveland already signed RG3.

3) San Diego Chargers: Jared Goff, QB, Cal - [Pick]

GM: StoneColeKiller58
Approval: 26%

Our first surprise pick in the BGN mock did not grade out favorably. I could see why the Chargers might be tempted to think about the long-term future, but Philip Rivers still has gas in the tank. They've got to maximize his window.

4) Dallas Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State - [Pick]

GM: kamjam
Approval: 60%

The combination of the Cowboys offensive line (which can be overrated, but is still good) and Zeke could be annoying for NFC East teams to deal with in coming years.

5) Jacksonville Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State - [Pick]

GM: drc242
Approval: 90.7%

A lot of people are going to see this pick as a steal. I'm not sure Ramsey gets out of the top three. Maybe Gus Bradley can actually finally start to build a good defense like he was hired to do three years ago.

6) Baltimore Ravens: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon - [Pick]

GM: rohan915
Approval: 78%

It feels like the Ravens could be a prime trade down target for teams looking to get ahead of the 49ers at No. 7. But since there are no trades in the BGN mock I think this is a fine pick if the Ravens stay put.

7) San Francisco 49ers: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA - [Pick]

GM: LAOJoe
Approval: 76%

The 49ers were arguably the worst team in the NFL last year despite not ending up with the No. 1 pick. They ranked last in DVOA and second worst in point differential. They simply need talent everywhere.

8) Philadelphia Eagles: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame - [Pick]

GM: slickpablovick
Approval: 44%

Stanley might be a "fine" pick for the Eagles but I don't think he's the elite prospect Howie Roseman had in mind when he traded up into the top 10 picks. I don't think the Eagles go offensive line in the first round unless Tunsil is somehow available.

9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky - [Pick]

GM: OneBucFan47
Approval: 32%

The Bucs need pass rush help but I'm not so sure Spence is the best pass rusher from this class. Another red flag for Spence is that I almost type his last name as "Spencer" each time so that's annoying.

10) New York Giants: Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida - [Pick]

GM: Paulie97
Approval: 68%

The Giants' defense was historically bad last year. New York spent a lot of money in free agency trying to improve it. I could easily see them trying to add more help through the draft.
