NFL Draft 2016: Philadelphia drafted an Eagles fan in the fifth round

Here's what everyone is saying about the Eagles' fifth round pick in 2016.

Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles selected West Virginia running back Wendell Smallwood with the No. 153 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Smallwood is native of Wilmington, Delaware and he grew up as an Eagles fan.

Shortly after being drafted, it was pointed out how Smallwood has some character concerns. Also, some ... unfavorable ... old tweets that he tweeted five years ago, when he was 17 years old, resurfaced and caused a stir. He later deleted his account. Smallwood drove up from Wilmington to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon to talk to address the media. He maintained his innocence regarding the arrest and owed up to his mistakes when it came to the tweets.

Here are some more reactions to Smallwood being drafted by the Eagles.
