The Philadelphia Eagles enter the third and final day of the 2016 NFL draft, which includes rounds four through seven, with a total of five selections. Day three of the 2016 NFL Draft begins today at noon, 12:00 PM ET. The Eagles' first selection will come at No. 153 overall (barring a trade).
Philadelphia entered the 2016 NFL Draft with seven selections. So far the Birds have made two picks. They drafted Carson Wentz in the first round on Thursday. Then they drafted an offensive lineman in the third round by the name of Isaac Seumalo.
The Eagles don't owe a fourth round pick due to their trade with the Browns to move up to get Wentz. The Eagles were scheduled to have No. 113 in the draft before trading it to the Titans, along with DeMarco Muray, for No. 100. Then Philadelphia gave that pick to Cleveland.
The good news for the Eagles is that they have multiple picks in rounds five and seven. The extra fifth comes from trading Brandon Boykin away to the Steelers last summer. Pittsburgh let Boykin walk in free agency to sign with the Panthers. Somehow the Eagles managed to get a seventh round pick by trading Matt Barkley away to the Cardinals late last summer.
Will the Eagles package up some of their extra picks to move up or just sit tight? Late last night Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson said they don't anticipate trading up into the fourth round. The Birds still have a number of needs to address so they might just hope to keep their volume of picks.
