Giants drafted an Eagles fan with the No. 10 overall pick

The New York Giants shocked many on Thursday night when they selected Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple with the No. 10 overall pick. Some thought Vernon Hargreaves and/or William Jackson III were going to be the first cornerback off the board (other than Jalen Ramsey). It turns out that wasn't the case. Needless to say, some Giants fans were not happy with the pick. Check out the mixed reaction from over at Big Blue View:

What makes this pick potentially even more annoying for Giants fans is that Apple grew up as an Eagles fan. Check out these old tweets from the South Jersey native.

Now Apple will face his (old) favorite football team twice a year instead of cheering for them.

Funny enough, Apple isn't the only Eagles fan the Giants have drafted in recent years. New York offensive lineman Justin Pugh, who attended Council Rock High School, also grew up as a big Birds fan.
