Two picks after the Philadelphia Eagles selected their franchise quarterback in Carson Wentz, the division rival Dallas Cowboys selected running back Ezekiel Elliott two picks later. This is notable for a few reasons, not the least of which being that many Eagles fans were enamored with the Ohio State product throughout the draft process.
Earlier this month, Elliott said the Eagles were the team showing the most interest. And even Brandon Graham thought the Birds should take him Elliott. But that was, of course, before the big trade that landed the Eagles the second overall pick. Now, the Eagles will be facing the former Buckeye twice a season. And speaking of Buckeyes:
I'm kinda torn... Congrats @EzekielElliott ... Kinda. I'll see u twice a year young buckeye! #FlyEaglesFly

This is also notable because Elliott will be running behind the vaunted Cowboys offensive line. DeMarco Murray ran for a league-high 1,845 yards in 2014, so it will be interesting to see what a player who was arguably the best in the draft will do this year.
Eagles fans will hope that the answer to that question is "not much".
