Michael Vick may have suggested he wants to return to the Eagles

Vick back in Philly?

The Sam Bradford trade drama in Philadelphia caught a lot of attention on Monday. It seems like it may have even caught the attention of a certain former Eagles quarterback. Shortly after the Bradford rumors emerged on Monday, Michael Vick posted the following picture on his official Facebook page.

He also posted the same image on Twitter. And then he tweeted about how he's preparing for the 2016 season.

The 35-year-old Vick is currently a free agent after spending some time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015. In an interview this offseason, Vick said he feels he has one more season left in him.

Assuming Bradford gets traded, which is unclear, I think a Vick return to Philadelphia could actually make some sense. Man, I sure didn't expect to be saying that, but it might not be so crazy. The Eagles clearly wanted to keep their rookie quarterback off the field in 2016. That's why they kept Bradford and signed Chase Daniel. If Bradford is gone, Daniel would be the starter with Vick as the backup. Vick has obvious ties to current head coach Doug Pederson. They overlapped in Philly from 2009-12. Pederson was his quarterbacks coach for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

The Eagles are probably going to need to sign another quarterback if Bradford gets traded. They also might even need a guy just to fill reps while Bradford is skipping practice. It might be nice to see Vick end his career in Philadelphia, which is where he once came to redeem himself.
