Eagles sign a speedy wide receiver after trying him out

New, comments

More speed.

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed free agent wide receiver T.J. Graham to a one-year contract, according to an official announcement from the team. Graham was one of four tryout players working out with the Eagles this week during their voluntary minicamp. Here's what we wrote about Graham earlier this week.

"5-11, 188 pounds. Third round pick by the Bills in 2012. Has spent time with the Titans, Jets, and Saints (connection to Eagles wide receivers coach Greg Lewis) since then. 61 career receptions for 794 yards and four touchdown in 47 career NFL games played."

The Eagles have been looking to add speed to their receiver corps this offseason and Graham offers some of that ability. He runs a 4.41 40-yard dash.

Graham obviously isn't a lock to make the final roster. He's competing for a depth job.

With Graham in the fold, the Eagles now have nine wide receivers: Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Rueben Randle, Chris Givens, Jonathan Krause, Freddie Martino, Xavier Rush, and Graham. The Birds will probably add some more pass catchers through the 2016 NFL Draft and/or undrafted free agency.

Here are some of Graham's college highlights:
