Let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Seems Eagles rate Wentz, Goff similarly, aren't as high on Lynch - Daily News
Wentz was only a two-year starter and he missed eight games with injury as a senior. Pederson said that might be a problem for some teams, but if Wentz were to come to the Eagles, for example, he wouldn’t have to play right away, could develop behind Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel. Pederson ended up talking more about Wentz than any other prospect during a predraft session with reporters. "You dive into him as a person, his work ethic, his off-the-field attitude … how he handles his teammates, puts him in kind of an elite status when it comes to quarterbacks."
Eagles Wake-Up Call: Leftovers From Pederson, Roseman - Birds 24/7
There is a good chance that front offices around the league have a pretty good feel for which quarterback the Rams plan on selecting with the No. 1 overall pick, even if the media is still not firmly on the scent. It’s also true that some people within the NovaCare walls feel that Goff will be L.A.’s pick. Assuming that’s the intel Pederson has received, his comments make all the more sense. If he knew Wentz was going off the board first and the Eagles could possibly end up with Goff, why call Wentz the better athlete and refer to Goff as "undersized" compared to the other two? Wouldn’t you be inclined to talk well of a player that may end up on your roster? Maybe Pederson is playing the shell game, but I’d bet against it. In my limited exposure to him he’s come off as pretty forthcoming. And who would he be trying to fool? The Rams are taking who they’re taking, the Eagles would presumably pluck whichever top QB is still available if they traded into the second slot, and that would be that.
Doug Pederson: Top QB prospects Wentz, Goff are ‘pretty even’ - CSN Philly
Pederson was very complimentary of Wentz, the quarterback from FCS program North Dakota State, saying he has all the tools despite playing at a smaller program. "I like him," Pederson said. "He’s got everything you want in a quarterback at this level. You never know. Quarterback is a unique position at the National Football League level. Guys come in here and there’s an expectation level that they have, there’s an expectation level that we have as a coaching staff. I like him, I like his arm strength, his mobility, he’s a bigger kid. I think he’s got all the tools to be an NFL quarterback."
Eagles 2016 NFL Draft preview: Running back - PhillyVoice
Dixon was really impressive during the week of Senior Bowl practices, especially as a receiver out of the backfield. He'll enter the NFL a more polished receiver than most of the running backs already collecting paychecks in the NFL. Safeties and linebackers couldn't cover Dixon, and often looked silly trying. If Pederson's offense is anything like Andy Reid's, he'll want his running back to be a weapon in the passing game. Dixon can be that for the new regime. As a runner, Dixon is tough and physical, as evidenced by his nose for the end zone. These TD numbers are ridiculous.
Eagles Draft Talk - Iggles Blitz
If Jack falls to 8, should the Eagles draft him? That all depends on the Eagles doctors. If they think the Eagles can get several outstanding years out of Jack, they have to consider it. But there is serious risk. And don’t be fooled by videos or stories of him working out. The concern here is how his knee will hold up over time, not if he can run/cut right now. Since the Eagles don’t need a LB right now, I’d be very cautious about taking him.
Chances of Eagles trading to No. 2 might have gone up - NJ.com
After listening to Roseman and head coach Doug Pederson speak this past Monday, however, the Titans decision to deal the pick to the Rams might have in fact increased the chances of the Eagles moving up. Here is why. To start, it is clear the Eagles are very high on North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz. Pederson made that obvious. "He has everything you want in a quarterback at this level," Pederson said before breaking down his meetings with Wentz. "When you finally get him, get him in your building, get your hands on him, break him down, the kid is pretty impressive." Not only has the team raved about him publicly, but they have also spent more time with Wentz then perhaps any other prospect.
Eagles Aiming For Top 10 Draft Hit - PE.com
The Eagles want this to be a one and done: No more top 10 draft picks. The goal is to pick No. 32 in the first round of the draft, not No. 8. But since they are there, thanks to a trade with Miami, the Eagles intend to make the most of it on April 28 ...
Chiefs lose appeal for tampering ruling that cost them a 3rd-round pick - SB Nation
