2016 NFL Mock Draft: New York Jets nab Leonard Floyd

With the 20th overall pick in the 2016 Bleeding Green Nation community mock draft, New York Jets GM Quacking_Eagle selects ...

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

With the 20th pick in the draft, the New York Jets need to think about Tom Brady and the Denver Broncos. The Jets have been getting shat on by Tom Brady since about the time Hilary Clinton was the feelin the burn of Monica Lewinsky. The Broncos (Von Miller) solved this issue in the playoffs last year by constantly getting pressure to him and showing us a Tom Brady we do not normally see.

That is why the Jets need to draft one of the best pass-rushing linebackers available.

This year that person is Leonard Floyd out of Georgia.

Leonard Floyd

Height: 6'6"

40 Time: 4.60 seconds

Vertical Jump: 39.5 inches

Broad Jump: 127 Inches

Floyd is a tall player coming in at 6'6" with dangerously athletic traits. He has proven he can get to the quarterback all throughout college, and also has great sideline-to-sideline skills. His ability to get past player on the offensive line is absurd.

Floyd can have a great impact this year, coming into a team with not that great of pass rushing linebackers and a great defensive line. Even the name Leonard Floyd just sounds like a Hall of Fame NFL player to me.

He does come with a weakness that can be changed with a little work in the weight room. Floyd does have a pretty thin frame but has already put on over 20lbs since college. You don't have to be massive to play outside linebacker, but with his tall build, you do need some weight to make you not get tossed around by NFL players.
