The Philadelphia Eagles may not have traded for the No. 1 overall pick, but it does seem like they tried. Multiple reports indicate the Birds finished as the runner-up team in the trade that sent Tennessee's No. 1 overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a bounty of picks.

If these reports are true, it's hard not to wonder what the Eagles will do now. Will they sit tight at No. 8 now that their attempt to trade up failed? It's possible the Rams will take the quarterback they want at No. 1.
But if Philadelphia was so desperate to move up, would they really just give up on that effort completely? The Birds might be able to swing a deal with the Cleveland Browns to get up to No. 2 and draft a quarterback. At least one NFL insider says an Eagles trade up can't be ruled out.
Two more weeks until the NFL Draft. Two more weeks of rumors and speculation.
