High-level jersey number analysis
Part of the Eagles' recruiting pitch to free agents must have included a promise to allow them to keep their jersey numbers. Daniel, Givens, McKelvin, McLeod, R. Brooks, Bradham, and B. Brooks are all keeping the same number they used last season.
It will be hard for the new No. 14 to be worst than the last.
Weird seeing No. 10 go back to a quarterback after being a wide receiver ever since the days of DeSean Jackson. Daniel is the first Eagles QB to wear No. 10 since Koy Detmer.
Cool to see Brandon Brooks get Todd Herremans' old No. 79 jersey.
The Eagles gave away Thurmond's and Biggers' numbers. There wasn't much doubt they wouldn't be back, but this is more (unofficial) confirmation. Seyi Ajirotutu's No. 16 remains available, for what it's worth.
MBT has huge shoes to fill.
