If you were watching the Saint Joseph's versus Oregon game on Sunday evening, you may have heard basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb take a shot at Chip Kelly live during the game. In case you missed it, here it is:
"If the Eagles had that, Chip Kelly wouldn't have gotten fired," Gottlieb said as the broadcast showed a replay of an Oregon player diving for a loose ball. Certainly Oregon showed more effort on that play than the Eagles did as they wilted down the stretch under Kelly's command.
The Kelly reference was too good for Gottlieb to pass up. You just know he was waiting to use that one. Oregon, where Kelly used to coached, and Saint Joseph's, a team from the most recent city where Kelly used to coach ... there you have it.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the shot at Kelly came at Saint Joseph's expense. The Hawks lost to the Ducks by a final score of 69-64.
