There wasn't a ton of hype about Rodney McLeod leading up to this year's NFL free agency period, but maybe there should have been. The 25-year-old safety is a pretty impressive player. If you don't believe me, just watch the highlights video above this post. Something tells me fans are going to be excited to watch this guy play for the Philadelphia Eagles.
As you can see, McLeod is a very physical player. Despite only being listed at 5-11, 183 pounds, he's clearly capable of dishing out big hits and knocking the ball loose. But McLeod isn't just a big-hitting box safety. He's also adept in coverage. There are numerous instances in this video where he's breaking up passes or diving to make impressive interceptions.
One of my favorite highlights of McLeod's career isn't in this highlights package. Instead, you have to click this link to watch the entire play since the NFL won't allow people to embed their video. Or just check out the clip below. Keep an eye on #23.

McLeod wasn't joking when he said the combination of him and Malcolm Jenkins have the potential to form one of the best safety tandems in the NFL. It's going to be fun to watch these guys play together.
