The Philadelphia Eagles officially met with Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch at the 2016 NFL Combine, according to Lynch's agent Leigh Steinberg. The interview was first reported by Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com. Keep in mind NFL teams only get to interview 60 of the 300+ draft prospects that attend the Combine.
This news doesn't come as a surprise. The Eagles have publicly expressed interest in adding a young quarterback this offseason. Whether the team re-signs Sam Bradford or not, the Eagles need to bring in a guy they can develop for the future. Lynch might make sense as that guy since he's not necessarily ready to play right away.
Eagles fans might be sick of Lynch's name by now. It's nothing personal, Paxton, it's just that you've been connected to the team in just about every mock draft so far. There might be a good reason for that frequent connection, though.

Here's a scouting report on Lynch via BGN draft expert Ben Natan:
Lynch would be outstanding in Philadelphia. He runs a lot of similar plays at Memphis that the Eagles run and his ability to throw on the move and get the ball downfield is heavily enticing. He needs to clean up a lot of aspects of his game and I will be interested to see how well he consistently go through his reads in the pros, but all of the ability is there for a high level starting quarterback. Of all the quarterbacks in this class, Lynch should be the first one taken based on his physical and mental tools. He is not the type of quarterback I would aggressively make moves for, but definitely would love the value of getting him at the back end of the first round or at the top of the second round.

In other news, the Eagles had an informal meeting with Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan.
