The 2016 NFL Combine is almost over and there are only 59 days until the 2016 NFL Draft is schedule to start on April 28. We're going to kill some time with our regular Mock Draft Monday series from now until then.
SB Nation's Dan Kadar has the Philadelphia Eagles taking Paxton Lynch yet again. This is the fourth week in a row that Lynch has been the pick.
"The Eagles may be trying to bring Sam Bradford back, but if that falls apart Lynch should be the choice here. Lynch has as high of a ceiling as any player in this year's draft, and has the athleticism and arm talent to develop into a franchise quarterback."
Lynch tested relativity well at the NFL Combine. Take a look:
The 22-year-old Lynch had some interesting comments during his Combine press conference. He essentially said he's willing to sit for a year. Mike Mayock and other draft analysts have said they see Lynch as a guy who isn't ready to start right away. That situation might fit what the Eagles want if they retain Sam Bradford or if they plan to bring in a placeholder such as Chase Daniel.
Speaking of Bradford, we'll learn more about Philadelphia's unsettled quarterback situation soon enough. The franchise tag deadline is on Tuesday, March 1. The Eagles aren't expected to tag Bradford so they will have until March 7 until his agent, Tom Condon, can start negotiating with other NFL teams.
Whether Bradford is back or not, the Eagles need to draft at least one quarterback this year. They need to groom a guy for the future and Lynch just might be the right pick for them.
So what do you think of this pick (again)?
