The Philadelphia Eagles made some minor roster additions on Thursday. The team officially announced the signing of four new players: wide receiver Seantavius Jones, wide receiver Xavier Rush, cornerback Aaron Grymes, and quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson.
The signings of Grymes and McLeod Bethel-Thompson (MBT) already leaked earlier today. Click on those links to read more about those players.
The 23-year-old Jones measures in at 6-3, 200 pounds. Jones attended Valdosta State. He finished his college career with 94 receptions for 1,597 yards (17.0 average) and 20 touchdowns. Jones went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and ended up signing with the New Orleans Saints. He spent some time bouncing on and off the team's practice squad and main roster. Jones has been active for three career games but has never recorded a NFL catch in the regular season. Eagles wide receiver coach Greg Lewis has experience working with Jones from their time together in New Orleans.
Rush, like Jones, is also tall. He measures in at 6-3, 202 pounds. He finished his college career at Tulsa with 99 receptions for 1,349 yards (13.6 average) and 12 touchdowns. Rush suffered an ACL injury in 2014.
These signings help fill out the Eagles' 90-man offseason roster.
