1 Cowboys (last week: 1)

The Cowboys are 7-1 when Ezekiel Elliott rushes for less than 100 yards, so there’s their weakness.

2 Patriots (last week: 2)

Losing Rob Gronkowski for the year would normally be a huge blow but nothing seems to stop the Patriots.

3 Raiders (last week: 3)

Raiders finally put a team away, beating the Bills by 14, and with Derek Carr “only” throwing for 260 and 2 TDs.

4 Chiefs (last week: 5)

Eric Berry scored more points this week than the Dolphins and Panthers.

5 Seahawks (last week: 6)

8-3-1 Seattle is 6-0 at home. They might need some help from Cowboys opponents if they’re going to reach the Super Bowl

6 Falcons (last week: 4)

Losing in heartbreaking fashion, an Atlanta tradition.

7 Broncos (last week: 7)

Paxton Lynch’s 104 yards was the fewest passing yards by a winning QB since... Brock Osweiler in Week 10.

8 Steelers (last week: 9)

Week 16 vs the Ravens is shaping up as a playoff game.

9 Lions (last week: 10)

The Lions finally played a game that wasn’t decided by one score. Progress.

10 Buccaneers (last week: 16)

With four straight wins the Bucs aren’t the hottest team in the league, but with three straight wins over the Chiefs, Seahawks and Chargers they feel like they are.

11 Giants (last week: 8)

As Bill Parcells said, you are what your record says you are, and with the Cowboys, Lions, Eagles and Redskins remaining, the Giants might be an average team.

12 Cardinals (last week: 19)

The Cardinals almost went to the Super Bowl last year, now they’re 5-6-1 and in third place. If it makes them feel any better, they’re doing better than the Panthers.

13 Ravens (last week: 20)

Four wins in their last five, including over the Steelers and Dolphins. The paper tigers have found some teeth.

14 Chargers (last week: 12)

If San Diego wins out they’ll be 9-7.... and in last place. Wrong place wrong time.

15 Bills (last week: 13)

The Bills are 1-5 against teams with a winning record, and that one win was against a third string QB.

16 Redskins (last week: 14)

After back to back 500+ yard, no turnover games, Washington’s offense came screeching back to Earth with 333 yards and two turnovers against the Cardinals.

17 Dolphins (last week: 11)

It was as close to a must win game as can be without actually being a must win game, and Miami scored all of six points. Which is as many spots we’re dropping them.

18 Packers (last week: 21)

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t thrown an interception in three games, his longest streak of the season.

19 Saints (last week: 15)

New Orleans defense reverted to form, giving up 28 points, which is the amount they average this season.

20 Eagles (last week: 17)

Lane Johnson returns from suspension in three weeks!

21 Vikings (last week: 18)

Eagles are going to get a nice pick.

22 Titans (last week: 23)

Tennessee’s roller coaster season continues as they came into their Week 13 bye in 2nd place, exit it in 1st, and with the Broncos this week could be in 3rd.

23 Colts (last week: 25)

Indianapolis has jumped back into AFC South contention with a 3-1 run. With the Texans, Vikings, Raiders and Jaguars left on the schedule they might surge to a 9-7 record to win the division and save everyone’s job.

24 Bengals (last week: 26)

Strange but true: without AJ Green, Andy Dalton had his best game of the season.

25 Bears (last week: 27)

John Fox has won games with Tim Tebow, Matt Barkley, Matt Moore, David Carr, 44 year old Vinny Testaverde, Chris Weinke and nearly won a Super Bowl with Jake Delhomme. Impressive.

26 Panthers (last week: 22)

Karma is benching a guy for not wearing a tie and his replacement turns the ball over on his only play.

27 Texans (last week: 24)

It’s a testament to the Texans’ depth that they’re in a three way tie for first with no QB.

28 Jaguars (last week: 30)

Bumped up a spot for not losing to a bad team in embarrassing fashion. Moral victory! And another for not giving their terrible head coach a contract extension!

29 Rams (last week: 28)

You can forgive Rams fans for quitting on this team after Jeff Fisher got a contract extension.

30 Jets (last week: 29)

Just End The Season

31 Browns (last week: 32)

The Browns didn’t play, which means they didn’t lose to Matt Barkley, so we’ll be nice and bump them up one spot.

32 49ers (last week: 31)

Franchise record 11 game losing streak. Maybe they’ll snap it against the Jets!
