The Eagles opened the second half with a three and out, the Giants responded with a four minute, 10 play drive that netted a field goal.

Eagles then had an eight minute, 12 play drive of their own.

But the big development was that Carson Wentz has left the game with a head injury. He took a hit from Olivier Vernon that was called for roughing the passer. Wentz slowly came off the field, and Chase Daniel came into the game.

Daniel completed a pass to Ryan Mathews for 16 yards to get the Eagles near the goal line, and then Mathews came inches away on third down from scoring. With fourth and goal from inches away, Doug Pederson took a timeout to think it over.

Pederson went for it, and Mathews was stuffed for a one yard loss.

Eagles still lead, 21-16.
