Eagles to wear cleats for charity on Sunday

Cleats will be auctioned

This week players in the NFL will be allowed to wear customized cleats as part of the My Cleats, My Cause campaign. Announced on The Players Tribune, players can wear cleats to promote the charitable causes they champion. The cleats will be auctioned off after games, with proceeds going to charity. Over 500 players are taking part, several of them are Eagles.

The causes have been wide ranging. On Thursday, Ezekiel Elliot wore cleats promoting the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Dak Prescott promoted Colon Cancer Prevention, and Brandon Carr, Byron Jones and Terrance Williams are raising money to aid the Flint, Michigan water crisis.

Several Eagles players have taken to social media to show off their cleats and promote their causes.

Many Eagles players are wearing similar “Audience of One” cleats, a motto of Carson Wentz from the Bible (Romans 5:8).
