Redskins-Eagles 3rd quarter

Eagles are up!

NFL: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Eagles lead Redskins 13-7 at halftime.

The Eagles kept the Redskins off the scoreboard in the first quarter, but only managed 3 points of their own. Early in the 2nd quarter they added on another field goal to increase their lead to 6-0.

However then the Redskins took the lead on a barreling 22 yard touchdown run by Rob Kelley.

The Eagles came right back with a 77 yard drive with key plays from Carson Wentz, Paul Turner and Trey Burton, ending with a four yard pass from Wentz to Darren Sproles for a touchdown to retake the lead.

Aside from his interception in the end zone, Carson Wentz has looked very good so far, going 18-24 for 177 yards to seven different receivers, with multiple scrambles to extend plays. Zach Ertz leads the team with 5 catches for 65 yards. The Eagles have gained only 37 rushing yards on 13 attempts though.
