As I mentioned yesterday, the SEPTA strike and my limited collegiate budget have me stuck away from the NovaCare Complex during possibly the most dramatic week of the Eagles’ season. Great timing!
Considering players don’t usually, you know, normally get caught speeding with weed and an illegal gun and then get released two days later in the middle of the season, players seemed substantially surprised by everything.
Here’s a recap of some of the locker room reaction to Josh Huff being released this morning, in tweets courtesy of Eagles beat writers down at the facility:
Brandon Graham says he feels bad for Huff because he has a wife and baby. Hopes Huff will be given a second chance somewhere.

“Everybody was shocked” when Josh Huff went around the room saying his goodbyes this morning, Leodis McKelvin said.

Leodis McKelvin says he "most definitely" thinks the #Eagles released Josh Huff to send a message to players.

Malcolm Jenkins said the Eagles cutting Josh Huff is more of a distraction than Huff getting arrested.

Bryce Treggs said he's expecting to be active Sunday, has been waiting for his shot. Has different skill set than Huff, he said.

"It's a wake-up call for everybody. We were shocked. There's nothing you can do but just be smart and make good decisions." DGB on Huff
