Nelson Agholor, who has played 23 games for the Eagles since being drafted in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, is officially a healthy inactive for tonight’s game between the Eagles and the Packers.
As was reported a few hours before kickoff, Agholor is sitting out tonight’s game and Paul Turner will be the team’s fourth wide receiver.
In addition, right guard Brandon Brooks will be inactive. The team announced an hour and a half before kickoff that Brooks was hospitalized due to an illness. Further information is still unclear, but it can’t be good if Brooks was hospitalized. Here’s hoping he’ll feel better soon.
With Halapoulivaati Vaitai injured, and Lane Johnson still suspended, here’s how the Eagles are lining up at offensive line: Jason Peters at LT, Stefen Wisniewski at LG, Jason Kelce at C, Isaac Seumalo at RG, Allen Barbre at RT.
Agholor has played 23 games for the Eagles since being drafted by the team in the first round of last year’s draft.
He’s caught 50 passes for 547 yards and two touchdowns in those 23 games, a fairly paltry number for a first-round draft pick a season and a half into his career.
Agholor is coming off possibly the worst game of his career, in which a simple procedure penalty from him cost the team a touchdown, and in which he also dropped a wide-open pass for at least a 20-yard gain.
Here are the rest of the Eagles’ inactives:
OL Halapoulivaati Vaitai
Expected. Dealing with a knee injury which could sideline him for weeks.
OL Dillon Gordon
Expected. Backup lineman.
DT Taylor Hart
Expected. Dealing with an ankle injury suffered in practice a couple weeks ago.
RB Ryan Mathews
Expected. He was ruled out on Saturday by Doug Pederson.
DE Steven Means
Expected. With Bennie Logan back, one fewer defensive line spot available.
