As the Eagles returned from a day off for Thanksgiving, Ryan Mathews was held out of practice once again on Friday with a knee injury, and the veteran running back’s status for Monday night’s game against the Packers would seem to officially be in jeopardy.
The Eagles still have one more practice this week, on Saturday, in which Mathews can participate. But missing the first two days of the week entirely doesn’t bode well for his chances to be active on Monday night. And if he misses Saturday’s practice, odds are almost 100 percent that he’ll miss this week’s game.
And, again, Halapoulivaati Vaitai missed practice. He’s expected to miss Monday night’s game, and his status for games going forward is very much up in the air.
