Football and family

NFL: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

It’s Thanksgiving, a holiday originally celebrating a harvest that is now just a big excuse to get your family to watch football all day long. That’ll do.

There’s a few things to be thankful for this holiday season.

First, thank you to the Eagles for having the balls to go out and get Carson Wentz. It was a big risk at the time, if the failed that would be the end of Howie Roseman’s general manager and Doug Pederson’s head coaching careers. But it turns out they knew what they were doing. Carson Wentz looks every bit the franchise QB we hoped he would be, and now the Eagles look set for years at the most important position in sports.

And thank you to the Los Angeles Rams for taking Jared Goff, to the Cleveland Browns for trading back, and to the Miami Dolphins for also trading back. They couldn’t have done it without you.

Thanks to the whole staff here at BGN. It’s a new era, and we’ve had a few bumps as is to be expected, but overall we couldn’t be happier.

No thanks to Kevin, the intern, though. Screw him.

And finally, thank you to you, our readers. We really couldn’t do this without you. We continue to be one of the most read SBN sites, and our podcast has gotten so big it’s got a gig on WIP, who knows what the future holds. Thanks for being a part of it.

Have a great Thanksgiving and uh, go Redskins?

How about you? What are you thankful for?
