As expected, both Zach Ertz and Jordan Matthews are active for today’s game against the Seahawks. The two were listed as questionable in this week’s injury report, but both practiced fully on Friday and seemed convinced they would be playing on Sunday.
This means, of course, that the greatest wide receiver to ever suit up for the Philadelphia professional football franchise, Paul Turner, will not play. He traveled with the team in case Matthews couldn’t go. Instead, your grandfather’s favorite Eagle Turner will continue to wait for his shot.
In other news, Allen Barbre is back for today’s game, supplanting Stefen Wisniewski, who’d filled in at left guard in Barbre’s spot while he dealt with an injury.
Here are the Eagles’ inactives:
CB Aaron Grymes
Mildly expected. Backup defensive back.
DB Terrence Brooks
Expected. Dealing with an injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Giants.
OL Josh Andrews
Expected. Backup lineman.
OL Dillon Gordon
Expected. Backup lineman.
DT Taylor Hart
Expected. Dealing with an ankle injury suffered in practice a couple weeks ago.
OL Matt Tobin
Expected. Backup lineman.
DE Steven Means
Expected. With Bennie Logan back, one fewer defensive line spot available.
Seahawks
#Seahawks inactives: Alex Collins, Tyvis Powell, Kevin Pierre-Louis, Michael Bennett, J’Marcus Webb, Bradley Sowell, Nick Vannett.
