Eagles sign TE Marcel Jensen to the practice squad

What an exciting evening!

The Eagles have signed Marcel Jensen to the team’s practice squad, filling the hole left by Aaron Grymes’ promotion to the 53-man roster last week in light of Terrence Brooks’ injury and Josh Huff’s release.

By signing Jensen to the practice squad, the Eagles once again have 10 players on the practice squad.

Jensen, 26, attended Fresno State and went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and has been floating around the league between practice squads and active rosters since.

The Jaguars promoted him to their 53-man roster in early September of 2014, and he caught one pass for eight yards. He was placed on injured reserve in October of that season, and was released by Jacksonville the following May.

In 2015, he was a part of four different practice squads, between Washington, the Bills, the Falcons, and the Broncos.

Pro Football Reference lists Jensen at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds.

In college, he caught 46 passes for 692 yards and seven touchdowns in his final two years at Fresno State.
