I doubt this is going to be football of the highest degree, but tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup is certainly an intriguing one for Eagles fans.
The game pits the New York Giants, who the Eagles lost to in Week 9 and face again in Week 16, against the Cincinnati Bengals, who the Eagles face in Week 13.
If the Eagles have a shot at the playoffs, they’re going to want to beat both of these teams. They could have beaten the Giants the first time around had Carson Wentz not throw two first-quarter interceptions, and also not misfired on the final offensive play of the game, but, alas, life goes on. For Eagles fans, this will be a good scouting opportunity to see how another team approaches the New York football Giants.
And as far as watching the Bengals goes, the Eagles need to steal a road game (or two) before the season ends if they’d like to reach 10 wins, which would be ideal if they want to make the playoffs. The Bengals enter the game at 3-5-1, a strange record. I’m on the record as saying I think the Bengals game is winnable for the Birds. Tonight’s game offers up a good look at Andy Dalton & Co.
