Falcons at Eagles 1st Quarter

Game day

What a difference a year and a half makes. In 2015 the Eagles opened the season in Atlanta, with incredibly high hopes, only to fall flat on their face. In 2016 the Eagles host the Falcons, with a new coach, new QB, a new direction, and they’re better off for it.

The Eagles have gotten off to too many slow starts this season. The Falcons don’t, the first quarter is their second most efficient quarter on offense.

But the Falcons are missing starting CB Desmond Trufant, and RB Tevin Coleman, who is nominally the #2 behind Devonta Freeman but plays in nearly half the snaps and has an incredible 17.4 yards per reception on 19 catches. Those are some big breaks for the Eagles.
