Chip Kelly and the 49ers are back in prime time tonight, hosting the wobbly Arizona Cardinals. Drew Stanton is starting at quarterback for the Cardinals because Carson Pallmer suffered a concussion; Blaine Gabbert is starting at quarterback for the 49ers because Chip likes when we suffer. What a world we live in.
Neither team has been anything special this year. The 49ers are 1-3 after starting the season with a 28-0 win. The Cardinals are also 1-3, a far cry from where many thought they would be at this point in the season. However, old things all have expiration dates, and good lord is Carson Palmer old.
So, here we are: two 1-3 teams facing off on the west coast in what is sure to be an absolutely hideous game.
Don’t watch this game. Watch Joel Embiid instead.
If you want to watch Chip Kelly’s offense and count your blessings, however, here’s everything you need to know about watching the game.
