The Eagles trail the Redskins 21-14 in a game that shouldn’t be this close, and yet should be closer if not for a third down Fletcher Cox penalty.
The Eagles offense can’t get anything going, though for the 2nd quarter it wasn’t entirely their fault:
The Eagles’ offense didn’t touch the ball for the final 13:26 of the first half.

Instead the Eagles scored on a Wendell Smallwood kick return touchdown
NOPE.

You're not stopping Wendell Smallwood.
86-yard kickoff return TD for the @Eagles. WOW. #FlyEaglesFly https://t.co/YXNq3c1pLr
And then on a Malcolm Jenkins interception returned for a touchdown.
PICK-6 ALERT! @MalcolmJenkins. Is. GONE. #FlyEaglesFly #PHIvsWAS https://t.co/EhiAkB2RtT

This is like a Chip Kelly game: special teams and defensive scores, an offense barely seeing the field, and losing to the Redskins.
Let’s hope the Eagles keep up their second half improvements.
