Fletcher Cox (ankle), Leodis McKelvin (hamstring), and Bryan Braman (shoulder) were all held out of practice Wednesday, according to the Eagles.
However, you need not worry about Cox’s status for this Sunday’s game against Washington. The Eagles’ All-Pro defensive tackle will be playing at FedEx Field. Doug Pederson said this morning that Cox’s absence from practice was to be expected, and was largely precautionary.
Cox has 11 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble in four games this season. He’s been nothing short of Pro Bowl-worthy so far; having him for Sunday, the Eagles’ first divisional game of the season, is big.
Pederson said McKelvin and Braman will also be ready for Sunday’s game.
McKelvin, of course, missed the Eagles’ wins over the Bears and Steelers with a hamstring problem. He returned in their loss to the Lions, but had to leave the game early to deal with the hamstring once again.
