The Washington Redskins are signing veteran free agent cornerback Cary Williams, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Yes, the same Cary Williams who played for the Eagles and is unanimously loved by Philadelphia fans!
Former Seahawks and Ravens CB Cary Williams is signing with Washington, per source. Instant help for playoffs.

Schefter's use of the word of "help" is, uh ... interesting. Help Washington get torched by Aaron Rodgers when Washington plays the Packers in the first round of the 2016 NFL playoffs this weekend, maybe?
Williams has been a free agent since being released by the Seahawks in early December. Williams had signed on with Seattle after being cut by the Eagles last March.
Williams didn't do much to endear himself to Eagles fans during his two years in Philly. He struggled on the field and he publicly complained about a lot of things off it. So, good luck with that, Washington.
