Well, that didn't take long. Tom Coughlin stepped down as Giants head coach on Monday afternoon and now there already rumors about who might replace him. And one of those candidates is, you guessed it, former Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly.

It's not surprising to see the Giants interested in their NFC East rival's former coach. Kelly had a lot of success against New York during his tenure in Philadelphia. The Eagles went 4-1 in five games versus Coughlin, outscoring the G-Men by a total of 131 to 69 in that span.
Believe it or not, this isn't the first time the Giants have showed interest in Kelly. Coughlin actually tried to hire Kelly as a quality control coach in 2006 but Kelly opted to stay as the offensive coordinator at the University of New Hampshire.
The Giants aren't the only team rumored to be interested in Kelly. He's also been connected to the Browns, the 49ers, the Titans, and the Dolphins.
There's also talk about how NFL owners are wary of Kelly based on how his tenure ended so abruptly in Philadelphia.
If the Giants' interest in Kelly is legit, it sure would be weird to see him coaching for another team in the Eagles' division.
