Pro Bowl 2016 Final Score: Eagles' Darren Sproles scores touchdown in Team Irvin win, 49-27

Here's how the Eagles performed in a meaningless game.

The 2016 Pro Bowl is over. Team Irvin defeated Team Rice by a final score of 49 to 27. That's probably all you really need to know about the game. But since this is an Eagles blog, here's a brief recap of how Philadelphia's players performed.

DL Fletcher Cox: The Man Dog had two tackles. He lined up next to Aaron Donald at times. It's scary to think what Cox and Donald could do together if they were real teammates. That would be a nightmare duo for offensive lines to deal with.

RB/PR Darren Sproles: Sproles had one catch for two yards and a touchdown. Watch the play here:

Unfortunately for Sproles, he also fumbled.

S Malcolm Jenkins: Jenkins had an opportunity to pick off Eli Manning early in the game but dropped it. Those dropped interceptions are part of the reason Jenkins only made the Pro Bowl as an alternate. Jenkins finished with one tackle and a forced fumble. He got beat in coverage by Travis Kelce for a touchdown at one point but held up fine otherwise. He was often playing behind Richard Sherman.

Of course, the most important thing is that there were no injuries.

...

Jenkins and Sproles earned $58,000 for being on the winning team. Not bad. Cox gets to go home with an extra $28,000.

Now that the Pro Bowl is done, all eyes turn to Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. Back to real football for one more week and then it's all over until next season.
