Early on Sunday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson is a leading candidate for the Eagles' head coaching job. Now that report is being refuted. In an appearance on CSN Philly's Eagles-Giants pregame show, Derrick Gunn said he spoke to three sources who claim the Pederson rumor is false.

Conflicting reports like these are bound to pop up at this time of year. There are a lot of different rumors being floated out there thanks to people with different agendas.
It was surprising to see Pederson's name brought up as a top candidate. He's not a popular candidate, for what it's worth, and he doesn't have any head coaching experience. He also doesn't have extensive playcalling experience.
With Pederson potentially not in the running, Adam Gase and Duce Staley remain as the two names connected to Philadelphia's vacancy so far. Stay tuned for more craziness to come.
