NFL coaching rumors: Chip Kelly is drawing strong interest from three teams

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Chip Kelly is expected to be coaching in the NFL next season. Three teams are already showing strong interest in the former Philadelphia Eagles head coach, according to a report from Howard Eskin.

Eskin's report matches up with a report from NFL insider Jason Cole that the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Miami Dolphins are all interested in Kelly. The Titans and Dolphins currently have head coaching vacancies while Cleveland is expected to fire Mike Pettine.

One would think the Titans are the front runner to land Kelly considering the obvious connection to his former college quarterback at Oregon, Marcus Mariota. It remains to be seen if the interest is mutual for Tennessee.

It'll be interesting to see where Kelly lands. The former Eagles coach said he wants to stick in the NFL and not go back to college. If these rumors are true, Kelly will get his wish.
