Now that the 2015 NFL regular season is over we know all of the Philadelphia Eagles opponents on the 2016 schedule. The NFL schedule uses a formula so you can figure it most of it out multiple years in advance.
Eagles 2016 opponents
HOME: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons
AWAY: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks
The game order won't be determined until the NFL releases the actual schedule. That usually comes in April.
The Eagles 16-game schedule is determined by a formula. They play the three NFC East teams twice so that makes up six of the games. They also play one NFC and one AFC division, which rotates each year. In 2016 that is the NFC North and the AFC North, so that is eight more games. The Eagles then play the two teams from each of the other two NFC divisions that finished in the same spot in their division as the Eagles. So that would be the Seahawks in the NFC West and the Falcons in the NFC South.
For now, it's fun to speculate. Obviously a lot can change from now to the beginning of next season. Teams routinely go from worst to first, and vice versa.
How are you feeling about this way-too-early look at next year's Eagles schedule?
