Eagles sign practice squad player after placing Bennie Logan on injured reserve

The Philadelphia Eagles made a few roster moves on Saturday in advance of their Week 17 game against the New York Giants. First, the team placed Bennie Logan on injured reserve. The starting nose tackle hasn't been able to play since Week 15 and now his season is officially over. Second, the Eagles promoted rookie cornerback Randall Evans from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster.

Evans' promotion makes sense because the Eagles are light at cornerback this week. Starting cornerback Byron Maxwell has already been ruled out and second year defensive back Jaylen Watkins is questionable.

The Eagles selected Evans in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent the entire season up to this point on the practice squad after being waived in final cuts.

Here's an updated look at Philadelphia's practice squad:

CB Mike Lee
OL Brett Boyko
OL Malcolm Bunche
LB Brandon Hepburn
WR Freddie Martino
RB Kevin Monangai
TE Chris Pantale
DE Travis Raciti
LB Deontae Skinner
