Jeremy Maclin had nice things to say about new Eagles head coach Doug Pederson after Kansas City's loss to the Patriots in the playoffs. After the Eagles officially announced Pederson as head coach on Monday, Maclin took to Twitter to praise the former Chiefs offensive coordinator yet again.
Excited for Doug...Philly is getting someone who understands everything that factors into it all not just X's and O's....good luck Doug!

Hmm ... intentional or not, the "not just X's and O's" thing makes it seem like this could be an indirect shot at former Eagles coach Chip Kelly. After Kelly was fired, Eagles CEO and Chairman Jeffrey Lurie stressed the importance of the next head coach having "emotional intelligence." There were plenty reports about how Kelly failed to connect with his players.
If Maclin's assessment is any indication, Pederson won't have the same issues that Kelly did.
