Earlier on Thursday, Adam Schefter reported the Eagles are "turning their attention" to Tom Coughlin. Philadelphia is now set to meet with Coughlin for a second time during this search progress. The rumors are heating up:
#Eagles talks with Tom Coughlin have intensified, as well. This could all go down very quickly. He seems to have wrapped his head around it

There are "ongoing discussions" between Tom Coughlin and the #Eagles as we speak. Some questions to answer. But they are far down the line.

My understanding is the #Eagles are set for a face-to-face meeting with Tom Coughlin today. Should be a lot more in-depth than last time.

As of yesterday, the Eagles were reportedly expected to hire a new head coach within the next "24-48 hours" so maybe this is it. At the very least, it's clear the Eagles have serious interest in Coughlin. Otherwise they wouldn't be interviewing him for a second time.
Given how this coaching search has gone, Coughlin is still hardly a lock. This search has taken a lot of twists and turns. It was only yesterday when newly hired Giants coach Ben McAdoo was reportedly the front-runner for the Eagles job.
With that said, these new reports continue to make Coughlin look like a more realistic possibility.
