Eagles confirm interview with Doug Pederson and fans are upset

It's official.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles officially interviewed Kansas City City offensive coordinator Doug Pederson, as expected, on Sunday morning. The team confirmed the news on Twitter:

For more on Pederson, read this excellent coaching profile. As you might be able to tell, Pederson is clearly not a popular candidate among Eagles fans.

For more evidence, check out these replies to the Eagles' tweet:

Pederson is the fifth coaching candidate to officially interview with the Eagles. Philadelphia has already interviewed running back coach Duce Staley, interim head coach Pat Shurmur, and Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase, and Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Up next for the Eagles is an interview with former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin on Monday.
