After only using six selections in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles are bound to have more picks in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Eagles will have 10 draft picks at most in next year's big event. At the very least, Philadelphia will own eight selections. Nine selections is also very possible.
It's a little early to look ahead to next year, especially with the 2015 regular season only one week away, but since the Eagles recently received a draft pick in the Matt Barkley trade, now's as good as time as ever for a refresher.
Eagles 2016 NFL Draft Picks
First Round
The Eagles own their own first round pick.
Second Round
The Eagles do not own their second round pick. They owe it to the St. Louis Rams as part of the Sam Bradford trade.
Third Round
The Eagles own their third round pick.
The Eagles own the Lions' third round pick due to a trade made in the 2015 NFL Draft where Philadelphia sent their fourth round pick to Detroit.
The Eagles can also own the Rams' third round pick IF Sam Bradford doesn't play a single snap this season. Considering Bradford is healthy and scheduled to start against the Atlanta Falcons, it looks like the Eagles won't be getting this pick from the Rams.
Fourth Round
The Eagles own their own fourth round pick.
The Eagles can own the Rams' fourth round pick IF Sam Bradford plays less than 50% of Philadelphia's offensive snaps this season. Considering Bradford's injury issues in the past, this possibility can't be entirely ruled out. If Bradford plays 50% of more of Philadelphia's snaps, however, the Eagles receive no pick back from the Rams.
The Eagles can own the Steelers' fourth round pick IF Brandon Boykin plays 60% of Pittsburgh's defensive snaps.
Fifth Round Pick
The Eagles own their own fifth round pick.
The Eagles own the Steelers' fifth roud pick IF Brandon Boykin does NOT play at least 60% of Pittsburgh's defensive snaps.
Sixth Round
The Eagles own their sixth round pick.
Seventh Round
The Eagles own their sixth round pick.
The Eagles own the Cardinals' seventh round pick IF Matt Barkley remains on the 53-man roster through Week 6 of the 2015 NFL season. Otherwise, the Eagles won't get the pick. Barkley made Arizona's final roster and projects to be the third quarterback behind Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton. Both Palmer and Stanton are coming off injury-plagued 2014 seasons, so it seems like Barkley has a good shot of sticking around.
Ideal Eagles 2016 Draft Pick Scenario
Here's a chart of the most ideal scenario for the Eagles. This scenario assumes: Sam Bradford stays healthy and plays the entire season, Brandon Boykin plays at least 60% of Pittsburgh's snaps, and Matt Barkley remains on Arizona's roster through Week 6.
